Suzanne was born and raised in rural Connecticut. After attending Phillips Academy, she earned her BA from Brown University and went on to study Vocal Jazz at the Cornish Institute in Seattle and Screenwriting and Film Production through The Film Connection, headquartered in Los Angeles. She has written a number of feature-length scripts, including co-writing the narration for the ground-breaking documentary film, EVOLUTION: The Genius Equation.
Suzanne published her first book, Science You-nified! A Middle School Curriculum in Physics and Physiology in 2004 and subsequently wrote and published the historical novella, The Life and Times of Schrodinger’s Cat: A Quantum Tale of Love and Entanglement, in 2007. She began adapting the story for the screen in collaboration with Emmy-Award winning animator, Ron Noble, in 2020.
In addition to storytelling, Suzanne is a passionate educator. Known for developing innovative, interdisciplinary, and academically rigorous curricula which allow her students to draw connections between diverse systems of thought based on individual and collective experience and wisdom – Suzanne's intent is to support each student in the discovery of their own uniquely personal intellectual and creative expression. She is the founder of Quantum Academy in Yelm, Washington. Ron's career highlights include directing Nickelodeon’s Rugrats, The Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, As Told By Ginger, and winning the Outstanding Children’s Animation Program Emmy Award® as an animation director on Rugrats. Producer and Director on internationally awarded films including “Mort” and “Living With Ridalyn.” Story Artist on animated series at Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, PBS and more.
Raised in Rockville, Maryland, Ron began animating with the Capital Children’s Museum Animation Corps Workshop in Washington D.C. when he was 16 years old. He later attended Syracuse University where he drew an award-winning daily comic strip for the university paper for four years and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in TV/Radio/Film Production.
After college Ron single-handedly created, wrote and animated the comedy short film Living With Ridalyn, winner of a few film festivals. It was sold to MTV/Atom Films and aired on Showtime, Blockbuster and even Cathay Pacific airlines. Ron then worked as character animator for Microsoft and Edmark in Seattle, while also freelancing as a Timing Director on dozens of TV shows. Ron then moved to Los Angeles in 1998 becoming a storyboard artist at Klasky Csupo Studios. Nine months later he was promoted to animation director. For the next seven years, Ron directed many award-winning Nickelodeon animated TV series and feature videos.
Upon leaving Klasky Csupo in 2005, Ron began storyboarding on Cartoon Network’s Moral Orel by day while directing and animating his indie animated short MORT - Hope Springs Eternal by night. The dark comedy short was accepted to 42 international film festivals and won Best Animation at ten of those festivals. Ron then started his own production company Nobletown Studios, through which Ron has directed and animated many TV pilots, explainer videos and commercials. He illustrated a dozen children’s books, including authoring and illustrating his own ABC book “Letter Beasties.” Ron lives in L.A. where besides making cartoons, he plays guitar in a band when he isn’t out exploring other countries, surfing or snowboarding.
